Breast
Breast conditions are personal and individual. Some breast conditions affect both women and men. Your family doctor or you yourself may find an indication that needs to be assessed. Among others, it is always good to check with your doctor about any mass or lump, an aching spot, and/or a dimpling or flattening of the skin over a particular area of the breast.
Because of the unique and personal nature of breast conditions, Dr. Beutel prefers to personally discuss your individual condition and treatment options with you.
Some of the breast procedures Dr. Beutel performs:
Breast biopsy
Removing a sample of tissue for testing purposes.
Breast aspiration
Draining a cyst or pocket of fluid.
Lumpectomy
Removing a cancerous or suspicious lump in the breast.
Partial mastectomy
Removing the area of the breast that contains cancer, as well as any lymph nodes that are affected.
Mastectomy
Removal of a single breast and any suspicious lymph nodes.
Double mastectomy
Removal of both breasts and any suspicious lymph nodes.
